The Fundamentals Of Sewing: 4 Week Lessons (In Person) + PDF Beginner Sewing Manual

Are you interested in learning how to sew but don’t know how to take the first step?

Let’s learn together. This is a beginner course and no experience is needed!

I’m so excited to offer my brand new course: the fundamentals of sewing. Four weeks of beginner lessons that will set you up with everything you need to know to start your sewing journey.

These are four weeks of in person lessons, taught out of my home studio in Fonthill, ON. Lessons are taught on a one on one basis - this is not a group course/workshop.

Sewing machine is provided in class, however it is recommended that you have a working machine at home to practice with and continue on with your studies.

All fabric and materials are also provided.

The schedule for your lessons is customizable, you get to individually book all four 1-1.5 hour lessons. You can either book all four lessons at once OR book as you go. It is recommended that you book in four consecutive weeks but it is up to you. Once the pass is purchased you will be sent a link to a booking calendar, where you pick the dates that work for you! Hours are Monday-Friday 9am-8pm.

Lessons are only taught one on one for the moment (group lessons may be available in the future).

Together over four weeks we will learn all of the essentials to get you started with sewing.

Our first project will be making a drawstring bag and on the last lesson you will get to pick from a few beginner patterns (i.e. scrunchie) to make independently. Refer to the photos for a general breakdown of how the four weeks work.

At the end of the lessons you will receive a PDF Beginner Sewing Manual. A 26 page PDF that includes information like: sewing terminology, the world of fabric, the stages of sewing, common mistakes and more. 

This course is suitable for all ages (10+)!
